Our client is a Chinese state-owned enterprise with projects focusing on Private Equity/Mergers and Acquisitions/Asset management.
Responsibilities:
Draft, review, negotiate, and advise agreements, legal contracts and legal documents.
Handle day-to-day Private Equity/Mergers and Acquisitions-related legal issues, provide legal advisory services on corporate business affairs matters including fund prospectus, investment management agreement, service agreement etc.
Provide legal advice and support in relation to the establishment, structuring and restructuring, due diligence and management of different types of funds.
Ensure compliance with all legal procedures and statutory regulations.
Identify and analyse legal risks and advise on related risk mitigation.
Provide legal support on ad hoc projects as requested.
Requirements:
Strong academics Law degree or equivalent. (Candidates with prior experience with Private Equity, Asset management, Mergers and Acquisitions will have an advantage).
Qualified lawyer (Commonwealth preferred) with PQE in a law firm or financial institution for at least 5-8 years.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team.
Fluency in English and Chinese, Mandarin is required for this position.
Good organization, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
