Equity Research Analyst-VP (Consumer Sector)

Our client is an established and one of the earliest licensed securities firms with a PRC background in Hong Kong. They are currently looking for Equity Research Analyst (Consumer Sector) candidates for their research team.

Responsibilities：

• Build financial models, conduct and update all valuation comparison for the stocks related to the sector(s) assigned;

• Conduct due diligence on the sector and company coverage assigned, including meeting with corporate management, checking with the supply chain for updates on demand, supply, cost, etc.;

• Compile comprehensive sector research reports to analyze the industry outlook and identify investment ideas;

• Understand business models of various players in the industry and write detailed stock coverage initiation reports, to establish the target prices and earnings estimates;

• Engaged in time-sensitive deal related projects to analyze and value companies that plan to be listed, and conduct marketing activities as needed;

• Organize events to provide investors with access to corporate management and industry specialists;

• Conduct meetings and provide investment recommendations on the sector to clients, predominantly institutional investors;

• Write timely updates and update earnings estimates/target price on company news and developments around the sector;

• Represent the company as the sector industry expert to attend media interviews.

Requirements：

• Bachelor degree or above;

• Candidate with Accounting designations (CPA/CA) and CFA qualification is preferred;

• At least 5 years experience in covering the relevant sector with experience in consumer industry, or career background in the consumer industry or accounting;

• Strong command of Excel modelling and charting with excellent presentation skills;

• Strong sense of responsibility and well organized;

• Ability to work effectively and independently in a highly confidential, fast-paced environment;

• Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
